A Special Message from “Life in ZD”

photo: Tijakool Yiyuan on flickr

When I first saw this photo on Flickr, I thought, I have to put that picture in my blog! I popped it in my Favorites folder and waited for the perfect opportunity.

What zany situation would best be exemplified by a kitten popping its head out of a shutter? What emotional state would be poignantly illustrated by a perfectly-posed feline mother and child?

Alas, that day never came. Until now!

I hereby dedicate this photo to you, my dear readers.

This picture perfectly exemplifies how I feel about this blog and folks who read it.

Life is wacky. Life is beautiful. Life is bizarre.

And sometimes, you just have to stick your head out of a shutter.

You know this. That’s why you’re here.

And I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting this blog:

Thank you for reading. Thank you for commenting. Thank you for giving me an excuse to put words on a page and send them out into the blogosphere.

Until the next post, here’s another photo to tide you over. . . .

Z, your blog is a highlight of whatever day it shows up in my inbox, and it was a lovely beginning to my own Christmas morning. Thank you for all the energy you put into writing and illustrating it time after time after time. I’ve read it, I’ve forwarded it, and I’ve used stories from it in conversations (always crediting you, of course, because your creativity and zest deserve full credit).

    Happy Merry Everything,
    Lori Louise

The Christmas Story began wth a “Big Bang” (theory or not.)

This Cat Photo will be a Perfect Image to start the New Year.
Lessons: Always Face the camera….where ever you are….And…may the music resound (I am sure there was some kind of sountrack playinig during the photo session in the picture) like the music of the candle lighting…last night…
(You were GREAT by the way)…..

All the blessings of the season back to you….(both)
    that would be : Have a Cool Yule….and a Frantic First…..
not to mention the Dynamic Days of the years to come….

Z, you are such a gift–your music, your words, your shining self! Thank you for this last year of blogs. I look forward to more. Until then, I’m going to look for an opportunity to stick my head out of a shutter. I’m pretty sure that would make my three year old grandtwins giggle, and hey, what’s better than that?

    • Z Egloff December 26, 2012 at 11:27 am #

      Hi Jo!

Thank you for being a part of my wild and wacky blog experience! I appreciate your presence and comments on this site.

I agree with you – nothing is better than making the Grand Twins giggle. Nothing. :)
