It&#039;s really liberating, isn&#039;t it? That was my experience with this idea that there&#039;s actually nothing wrong with sleeping &quot;a lot.&quot; Just the fact that most people see 8-10 hours as a lot of sleep is a sign of the screwy priorities. Also, I love this idea of prioritizing sleep first! What a great concept. :)

<p>It&#8217;s really liberating, isn&#8217;t it? That&#039;s awesome that you noticed that coffee disrupts your sleep and don&#039;t drink it too late in the day. Anything we can do to get more sleep is always a good thing.

As for drinking coffee with booze, that&#039;s a whole other blog post! :)

And I&#039;m SO glad that you can now let go of feeling guilty or lazy about sleeping! There&#039;s SO much misinformation in society about the need for sleep, which was one of the reasons I was led to write this post. That said, I was also a little nervous about posting it, as I know that lots of folks have had the whole sleep = lazy thing implanted in their brains.

But now that I have the image of carpenters sawing off my side of the bed if I don&#039;t use it, I have even more incentive to make sure I&#039;m getting enough snooze time. Thanks for that!

I do find that sleep is a really good friend. I feel like a million bucks when I get enough sleep, which is just about all the time, I daresay. 

My feller, Mark, on the other hand runs on a few hours sleep per night and drinks lots of herbal stimulating beverages (not coffee anymore). I&#039;ve often alerted him that I&#039;m going to call some carpenters to come over and saw off his part of the bed if he doesn&#039;t start using it more. ;) 

Thanks again for this post! I no longer feel weird -- at least not about being one of the few folks I know to get lots of good sleep. (I might feel a little weird in other ways -- but it&#039;s a good weird.) :)]]></description>
