I like that you point out a fine line here. When we keep in touch with our internal wisdom, it does make us extra wise. I too have had to look at the issue of unsolicited feedback and how to be the most helpful to friends. And when you’re so frickin’ wise, like you and me, it can be tempting to blast that wisdom all over unsuspecting friends. Or passersby. Or whomever. So thanks for this reminder!

And I’m glad that you’ll still be visiting, even though you really never need to read another blog post ever. 🙂

To answer your query, I access inner (awesome) guidance through journaling, mostly. I ask stupid, poorly phrased questions, and brilliant, articulate guidance flows forth. God, how I love that. I agree with you totally. Your message is the best message ever: Go within. Ask. Trust.

I love the reminder that there’s just no one-size-fits-all about life. One person’s trash is another’s treasure. One person’s poison is another one’s medicine. One person’s idea of stupid time-wasting is another’s immense pleasure. (Yes, I watch “The Bachelorette.”)

As Caitlyn Jenner said last week, “We’re all different. That’s not a bad thing. That’s a good thing.”

We can stop listening to the Peanut Gallery and explore what works uniquely for us.

My big thing just now is that I do listen to my intuition and because I have done that for so long and share that with others I have been told how very wise I am. And for a long time I believed my own press thinking I should share that with others in the form of advice. The kind of advice that tells others what to do and how to do it.

It came to my attention recently that kind of unasked for advice is disempowering! But the best advice that I could give is EXACTLY what you just said. “You’ve got all the answers, and the more you listen for them, the better you’ll hear them.” It’s like Spirit just said, “Good going River. You are on the right track! ”

So thank you for your internal listening and validation of my path.

Keep blogging and I’ll keep showing up because that is me asking for Spirit’s reminders/advice in the form of Z’s humor.
