The Democrats and Republicans sit on sides in the congress. It looked like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was set up in a non-traditional SATB format with all the altos and sopranos on one side and the tenors and baritones on the other. One side was mostly women and the other side was almost all men. I think I prefer the side with the variety of faces over the side that was all white. It is necessary to hear other folks stories. I don’t hear their stories when I am only with my fellow white people. We. need he diversity in order to learn from each other. As for California. Give me a break. Who was Vallejo? Not exactly an Englishman. California has always had a history of diversity even though we have not always handled it well. Too bad this is not well represented in our governments.
