Back when my Guru Lucy was still in my life, she called me over for a little chat one day.
She said that while she appreciated my attempt at a Goofball Holiday message the previous year, the message was in need of some serious improvement.
For those of you who remember that post (I had to go look it up), it consisted of a few words and two photos: one of a human baby and one of two cats.
According to the Guru, I got it right by including the photo of the cats.
The photo of the baby, however, was horribly, horribly wrong.
To rectify this gross misjudgment, the Guru suggested I devote the current year’s entire holiday message to the superior species of which she was a part.
Not only that, she suggested that I articulate, by means of said photos, why the feline is so spectacularly superior.
Thus was born:
The Guru’s Holiday Photo Extravaganza!
Cats are amazingly, incredibly, superior-ly awesome because . . . .
They know how to laugh.
