I deserve to have people in my life who love and support me. And I deserve to have people in my life whom I can love and support. It feels so good to empower and encourage each other in this way. It allows us to go out into the world, sharing our gifts and uplifting others. Today I take stock of my cheerers. I release the ones who no longer cheer me on. And I uplift the ones who do.
Story my Tara Brach:
“84 year old man goes to the doctor for his check up. Next day, doctor sees him walking down the street with a beautiful woman on his arm, laughing and enjoying the day. When he goes in for his next check up, his doctor remarks on what he saw. The 84 year old man says that he was simply following the doctor’s advice, “Get a hot mama and be cheerful.” The doctor says that you misheard me. “I said, You got a heart murmur. Be careful!”
Anyway, I already have a hot mama. So, today, I’m just going to follow your advice and be cheerful! Thanks!
