Driving can bring out the worst in people – including me! The next time I notice myself getting crabby behind the wheel, I practice saying kind things to other drivers. I may have to speak sarcastically at first – but it doesn’t matter. The power of words like love and forgive transcends the sarcasm. Next thing I know, I’m smiling. I’m feeling more compassionate toward the other drivers. And myself.
I usually use this blessing – “I bless you and pray that you make it to your destination safely.”
By “safely”, I mean that driver and everyone else on the road is safe from the possible consequences of their careless driving.
Hi Eleanor,
Yes, that’s a good point. There is a lot going on out there on the road, and safety is Key!!
