Mixed feelings are exactly that – a rich mix of emotional states. As with all feelings, the best thing is to simply let them be. When I have mixed feelings about something, I can allow those feelings to express and move through me. Once they are safely on their way, I can return my attention to the subject at hand. In the settled dust of emotional cleansing, clarity emerges.
Thank you so much for all the bits of wisdom. I have lots of emotions and have been faced with many challenges. I made three big investments this past year and am now feeling the fruits of my labor. Nice to have resources to handle all the mix of emotions. Just bought a used 2014 car, a major upgrade from my ’98 pickup and ’04 used car. Glad I made the BIG decision and worked through all the challenges to make it happen. I really appreciate your uplifting messages, thank you for letting me share.`
Hi Julie,
Thank you so much for your comment! And congratulations on enjoying the fruits of your labor! That sounds awesome. 🙂

Hi Z,
Thank you for saying “allow feelings to express and move through me”. I hadn’t thought of them as moving through me, but of course they do. In honoring that movement, it could be easier for me to invite the difficult ones to take some momentary space and time.
I had a practice of doing that coming home. When I turned onto my road, 10 minutes from home, I would give myself time to emote and vent if needed. I was always surprised that those feelings were released, done and shifted in two minutes, with the arrival of the certainty and wisdom I needed to make my best choices.
I am reminded: my best decisions are made while in meditative motion. I will take more time in meditative motion.
Hi Whitefire,
Great to “see” you here.
Thank you for this beautiful and thoughtful comment. I love the idea of spending time in meditative motion.
BIG Love,
Z
