I can never truly know everything about another person. I can never truly know everything about myself! So when I try to compare and contrast another person’s life against my own, I’m working with not nearly enough information. The information that I do have is that comparison is a losing game. That’s not to say I won’t try to play it. But when I catch myself doing so, I can step off the field.
