Do I think everyone in my life is going to be changing and growing in exactly the same way and at exactly the same pace as me? If I do, I may be setting myself up for disappointment. The variability of people’s growth and interests means that some folks are in my life for a long time and others for shorter. That’s not good or bad. It just is. Today I honor everyone’s timeline, including my own.
